Day 5 - Huntstile to Tidenham Chase
Comments
B4228 north to Coleford is quiet and easy. Road along the Wye Valley is also easy with a really good descent. Minor road through Hole in the Wall is undulating but very pleasant. We cut off across to the B4224 due to a closed road. Might be worth going to this road before Brockhampton though. Minor roads avoiding Hereford and to Leominster are flat and quiet. B4361 is a fabulous road with a few undulations but fast cycling. Road up to campsite is steep.
Camping at Whitcliffe Camp Site high above the town. It's a one mile steep hill to the site and walk into town for eateries, including a good Thai restaurant. Facilities were adequate, showers weren't brilliant. Pointless paying less for a sloping pitch in a tent! Check they aren't full before cycling up the hill!
