That's me with my Mum and Dad taken in St. Peter's Port, Guernsey in 1973. My Dad would be 39 in this picture, the same age as I am when I'm posting it to my blog. My Mum is pregnant with my younger sister at this time, although I didn't know this at the time!

I remember that holiday really well - would have been that bit older at 12. It seemed so exciting to me - first time almost ‘abroad’. Doesn’t Dad look smart, as he so often did. Who took the photo? Me or Jayne maybe?

Guernsey are just about my earliest memories, ones I can date anyway. Remember going into the wartime hospital and being scared witless! I also remember buying a toy road sweeper and leaving my road mat behind.
You were the photographer as I seem to have gained your little green photo album of the Guernsey photos at some point. It’s nicely annotated in your best handwriting. There are several other really nice shots of Jayne and Me.
