It's been pretty cloudy and wet for the last couple of weeks in the UK with very limited viewing opportunities. But the clouds cleared this evening leaving completely clear skies and amazing visibility. So I drove up to the Berkshire Downs near the famous Ridgeway to grab some images of Mercury close to the young Moon. This image has had no processing other than a slight crop and resize. Mercury was almost invisible to the naked-eye at this point but was quite clear when it was higher.
